About The Position

The Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) Team is seeking a supervisor who will be responsible for supervision of the central AEOI team in Toronto and for servicing AEOI clients globally. Reporting to the Manager -AEOI, the AEOI Supervisor will be responsible for coordination of AEOI services: completion of annual regulatory deliverables, engagements for existing and new clients, and ongoing client servicing. This is a varied multi-tasking role which encompasses client relationship management, investor communication, and daily internal/external stakeholder management and communication combined with all relevant and associated team supervision and administration.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified (preferably in a discipline relevant to Financial Services)
  • 3+ years’ experience in Financial Services and/or Fund Administration
  • Proven strong client relationship skills
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects / deliverables; excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Results driven and self-motivated
  • Ability to work in global teams and adapt to different communication styles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Regulatory Compliance, FATCA/CRS, AML/KYC, and/or Investor Relations an advantage
  • Experience supervising, training, or supporting junior staff an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee preparation by AEOI team of annual/monthly/daily deliverables, managing and monitoring timing and quality.
  • Communicate daily with team and reporting lines; prepare and provide progress and status updates, escalate items to management as required.
  • Review, validate and process IRS W Series forms for Chapter 3 withholding purposes.
  • Review / approve deliverables and assist production where necessary.
  • Provide guidance to Individual Contributor-level staff on AEOI technical items and queries.
  • Manage communications and ongoing relationships with AEOI clients, their investors, and other external and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage expectations and ensure that all queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and improve knowledge of the Automatic Exchange of Information regulatory and compliance environment as it impacts service and/or clients, including industry research and analysis as required.
  • Identify, analyze and troubleshoot classification and re-classification inconsistencies.
  • Local AEOI portal registration/de-registration, communication and trouble shooting.
