About The Position

MSC Cruises, the world’s third largest cruise line brand, is expanding its eCommerce team in the USA. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Content Operations & Strategy, the AEM Content Author will support the US Web Content Team in setting up, maintaining, and facilitating use of the new AEM CMS and its contents. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience in building pages in an AEM environment and be able to serve as a Content Author to create pages based on pre-determined templates and custom components while adhering to brand style guidelines and specific configurations. This is a remote contract position with a 6-month engagement with the potential to extend.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager Sites and DAM.
  • Understanding of content lifecycle management.
  • Metadata, taxonomy, and tagging expertise.
  • Digital asset governance experience.
  • Basic HTML, SEO, and web content principles.
  • Familiarity with workflows and publishing processes.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and stakeholder communication skills.
  • US Passport or US Permanent Resident

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and maintain website pages using AEM templates and components.
  • Author and format content including text, images, videos, banners, and promotional content.
  • Ensure content aligns with brand standards, messaging guidelines, and business requirements.
  • Manage content updates and ongoing site maintenance.
  • Build landing pages, campaign pages, and site content using AEM page editor tools.
  • Configure page properties, metadata, and navigation elements.
  • Publish, schedule, unpublish, and manage content releases across environments.
  • Support content deployment activities as needed.
  • Locate and leverage approved assets from the AEM Digital Asset Management (DAM) repository.
  • Ensure correct asset usage, tagging, and version selection.
  • Coordinate with DAM team members and creative stakeholders for new asset requirements.
  • Apply SEO best practices, including: Page titles, Meta descriptions, Alt text, URL optimization, Header structure.
  • Ensure content complies with accessibility standards (WCAG) and organizational requirements.
  • Review content for accuracy, consistency, grammar, and formatting.
  • Validate page layouts and links for functionality before publication.
  • Perform cross-browser and responsive testing to ensure optimal user experience.
  • Identify and resolve content-related issues, broken links, and formatting inconsistencies.
