About The Position

The Advocate Training Center Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating various projects related to NIJC's Advocate Training Center (ATC). The ATC focuses on capacity-building, legal resources, and trainings to enhance the ability of NIJC staff, pro bono attorneys, and partner organizations to serve immigrant communities. This role involves collaboration with legal teams and stakeholders to define project scope, set timelines, and allocate resources. Initially, the coordinator will support the creation of NIJC's Learning Management System, and once established, will be responsible for its maintenance and updates. Additionally, the role involves managing data projects to support NIJC's pro bono teams and acting as a liaison between NIJC and external partners, including pro bono and other partner organizations.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the human rights field, legal and/or communications work.
  • Excellent writing, editing, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 or related software.

Nice To Haves

  • May give credit towards years of experience if attained a degree higher than a bachelor's degree.
  • Prior experience with web-based databases and/or content management systems is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support creation and ongoing maintenance of NIJC's Learning Management System, including uploading trainings and resources and managing quarterly reviews of materials.
  • Implement systems for NIJC trainings for a variety of audiences, ensuring protocols are clear and easy to follow.
  • Facilitate Continuing Legal Education (CLE) registration and maintenance for the organization and serve as internal and external point of contact for CLE trainings.
  • Support the data team in technical project management tasks related to NIJC's pro bono programs, including implementing updates to LegalServer and facilitating data pulls.
  • Cultivate and distribute monthly training round-up for staff and bimonthly pro bono newsletter.
  • Represent NIJC at external events with pro bono partners, including lunch talks and pro bono fairs.
  • Coordinate and oversee all phases of projects and trainings from inception to completion.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project plans, timelines, and workflows.
  • Review and analyze data to assess project performance and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure proper documentation and archival of all project-related materials.
  • Develop and implement best practices and methodologies for project management.
