About The Position

The Advocate - Illinois Domestic Abuse Civil Legal provides comprehensive trauma-informed and survivor-centered services to individuals who identify as survivors of domestic violence, primarily within the legal system, in Rock Island and parts of Henry County. This position provides individual advocacy, case management, emotional support, support groups, safety planning, and other systems advocacy for clients and their significant others affected by domestic violence. This position participates in the on-call rotation, providing 24-hour in-person crisis response to survivors as requested. This position requires reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance. These responsibilities are carried out under the direction of the Supervisor - Illinois Domestic Abuse. This position requires a flexible schedule that may include working some nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license in good standing and a vehicle with appropriate auto insurance are required.
  • Must be able to pass the motor vehicle record background check.

Responsibilities
