About The Position

This role is for an experienced Domestic Violence Advocate. The position is located at multiple sites in Irvine, CA. The salary range is $26.00 - $27.50 per hour, and the job shift is swing. Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Successful completion of a vetting process with the Police Department, including a thorough background investigation.
• Prospective employees must pass a background screening to the satisfaction of the agency prior to placement.

Nice To Haves

• Some college coursework in Human Services, Criminal Justice, Psychology, related field or commensurate work experience preferred.
• One year of experience in counseling or professional client support position in a domestic violence agency and/or program setting preferred.
• Experience working with law enforcement.
• Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling or professional client support in a domestic violence agency and/or program setting.
• Work with law enforcement.
• Complete the 40-hour Domestic Violence Advocate certification training post-hire.
• Pass a background screening to the satisfaction of the agency prior to placement.
