KSDT is growing and we’re seeking an Advisory Director to lead client advisory engagements and serve as a trusted partner to business owners and leadership teams. This role focuses on delivering strategic, data driven insights across operations, financial performance, and transaction related matters while helping clients navigate growth and complex business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong advisory experience, a commercial mindset, and a passion for building lasting client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in advisory, consulting, transaction services, public accounting, or a comparable client-facing role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading advisory engagements and managing client relationships independently.
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills; advanced Excel proficiency required.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple engagements simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CFA or MBA strongly preferred.
  • Business development experience and a commercial mindset; portable book of business is a plus.
  • Candidates with an existing book of business or established referral network are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary advisor and relationship lead for advisory clients.
  • Lead engagements from initial scoping through execution and delivery.
  • Partner with client leadership teams to understand business objectives and provide actionable, data-driven recommendations.
  • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to owners and executive teams.
  • Lead advisory engagements focused on: Process improvement and operational efficiency, KPI development, dashboards, and internal reporting, Cost control, profitability, and pricing analysis, Business strategy and growth planning
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support clients with transaction and exit-related needs, including: M&A buy-side and sell-side advisory support, Financial due diligence and Quality of Earnings (QoE) support, Deal structuring and transaction planning, Exit readiness and succession planning
  • Develop and review transaction models, financial analyses, and client-ready deliverables as required by the engagement.
  • Manage multiple concurrent advisory engagements while maintaining quality, timeliness, and profitability.
  • Oversee engagement budgets, timelines, scope, and deliverables.
  • Identify and address engagement risks, scope changes, and client issues proactively.
  • Produce clear, professional client deliverables including presentations, models, dashboards, and written summaries.
  • Contribute to the growth of the advisory practice through client expansion, referrals, proposal development, and relationship building.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce advisory services to existing and prospective clients.
  • Support the development of advisory methodologies, templates, and repeatable deliverables to enhance consistency and scalability.
