About The Position

Cardinal Health Canada is an essential link in the Canadian healthcare supply chain, providing more than 70,000 products to healthcare facilities and medical professionals across the country. HR Services is responsible for managing HR technology, processes, global payroll, and timekeeping, as well as administering HR data transactions, audits, and calculations to drive operational efficiency. This function supports end-to-end employee lifecycle activities, including hiring, data management, system maintenance, case management, terminations, contracts, and retirements. HR Services also delivers reporting to internal leaders, external agencies, vendors and in support of audits. We are currently seeking an Advisor, HR Services Delivery, to join our HR Services team. This role is responsible for executing and supporting a broad range of HR operational services, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across processes. Responsibilities include HR transactions, governance support, group benefits administration, and HR program execution. The HR Delivery team supports over 1,000 employees across multiple locations, operating within a centralized service model to provide consistent, high-quality transactional support and data management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 3–5 years in HR operations, shared services, or HR generalist roles preferred
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday), case management tools (e.g., ServiceNow), and collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving and process improvement mindset
  • Bilingual, English and French Canadian, an asset

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for HR inquiries from leaders and employees, ensuring timely and accurate responses
  • Serve as the key liaison with Global HR Services (GHRS) to ensure consistent application of HR policies, processes, and service delivery standards
  • Escalate and drive resolution of complex payroll and HR-related cases with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and HRBPs, as appropriate
  • Partner closely with HRBPs to optimize capacity for strategic priorities, and collaborate with COEs to ensure alignment with HR programs and initiatives
  • Identify process gaps and partner with HR Shared Services and COEs to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency
  • Promote adoption of self-service tools by developing job aids, quick reference guides, FAQs, and microlearning content
  • Support the global onboarding project by contributing to the delivery of a structured and branded onboarding experience for new hires and hiring managers
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, benefits and pension administration, payroll setup, job changes (transfers and promotions), and terminations
  • Maintain and audit employee data accuracy across HR systems (e.g., Workday, myHR, ADP), proactively addressing discrepancies and communication gaps across platforms
  • Guide employees to appropriate resources for benefits, payroll, and HR inquiries, and support navigation of tools and content available on the company intranet
  • Support the delivery of training and refresher sessions on HR systems, policies, and procedures to drive consistency and user adoption
  • Act as a liaison between the U.S. Payroll team and Canadian employees, providing local expertise and support on payroll-related escalations (e.g., ROEs, Service Canada, taxable benefits, federal and provincial legislation, and termination pay calculations)
  • Administer benefits and pension programs, including Sun Life inquiries, data uploads, and terminations, while serving as the primary point of contact for related questions and escalations
  • Oversee the application of HR programs and policies in Canada, acting as a key point of contact for inquiries and issue resolution
  • Lead year-end payroll activities, including annual vacation reconciliations, balance prorations, government filings/remittances, and SIN expiration audits
  • Manage third-party remittances and payments related to government programs, employee benefits, and Workers’ Compensation
  • Maintain a bi-weekly on-site presence to collect and process payroll-related and statutory documentation (e.g., garnishments, benefit cheques, and government forms)
