About The Position

Within our national Climate Change, Resilience and Sustainability team, you will directly contribute to projects that strengthen the resilience of public and private infrastructure across the country. You will work with engineers, urban planners, economists, and scientists committed to building sustainable assets adapted to emerging climate risks. This national role can be based in any major Canadian city and offers complete flexibility in a hybrid mode.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, environmental science, or a related field; Master's or PhD (an asset).
  • Professional designation (RPP, P.Eng., PMP, etc.) – an asset.
  • 7+ years of experience in service delivery within multidisciplinary teams; 5+ years in climate change and resilience.
  • Strong understanding of climate risk assessment protocols and standards, as well as relevant climate data.
  • Excellent skills in workshop facilitation, risk analysis, and adaptation measure design.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, client relationships, budgets, and timelines.
  • Experience with digital solutions (interactive dashboards, scenario tools, automation).
  • Curiosity, autonomy, collaboration, and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Bilingualism required as the ideal candidate will collaborate with teams across Canada, which is an asset for our diverse work environments.
  • Ability to obtain federal government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of cutting-edge climate risk and resilience projects for public and private clients.
  • Manage multiple mandates simultaneously, ensuring quality, adherence to deadlines, and achievement of financial objectives.
  • Contribute to environmental consulting services and collaborate with various WSP business lines to deliver strategic solutions (infrastructure, energy, mining, corporate sustainability).
  • Oversee the preparation of clear and impactful reports, translating technical data and aligning with client needs.
  • Guide the development of digital tools integrated into projects to facilitate interactive results communication.
  • Facilitate workshops on risk identification, vulnerability analysis, prioritization, and co-design of adaptation measures.
  • Support business development with current and potential clients at local and national levels.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
  • Contribute to knowledge advancement and continuous improvement of processes within your area of expertise.
