Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16 (18 for Zipline Operations)
  • Background Check Required: Yes
  • Have or willing to obtain CPR/ first aid certification.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Exposure to extreme outdoor elements.
  • Ability to work at height.
  • Manipulation of carabiners, harnesses and ropes with both hands.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Clear guest communication.
  • Customer service.
  • Risk Assessment/Judgement.
  • Minimum education required- None
  • Minimum time in related position- None

  • Experience working with children preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate and assist with outdoor activity operations.
  • Maintain and work closely with other departments, such as Activity Center, KinderKamp, Lift Maintenance, and Patrol.
  • Work closely with the Activity Center staff and outdoor activities staff to provide a great guest experience.
  • Maintain a friendly and outgoing attitude.
  • Operate a climbing wall, trampoline jumper, and zip line.
  • Assist and coach guests through their adventures.
  • Follow all safety procedures, operating standards, and training protocols for assigned activities.
  • Conduct pre‑use equipment inspections and report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain facilities and other activities.
