About The Position

The Advancement Assistant supports the school’s marketing, communications, and advancement efforts through day-to-day execution, coordination, and creative support. This role works closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications to ensure consistent messaging, strong partner relationships, and clear communication with families and supporters. This position is ideal for a creative, organized, and collaborative individual who enjoys both design work and operational follow-through, and who is eager to grow under mentorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, and/or related field
  • 1–3 years’ experience in design, marketing, and/or communications (school or nonprofit experience a plus)
  • Strong graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently with clear direction
  • Professional, warm, and responsive communication style

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key point of contact alongside the Director
  • Coordinate partner deliverables and timelines
  • Coordinate logo collection and placement across: Website, Event materials, Marketing collateral
  • Track and ensure fulfillment of partner benefits
  • Support partner-related events and perks
  • Maintain organized records of partner information and agreements
  • Build and schedule the weekly school newsletter
  • Coordinate content submissions from departments
  • Manage Mailchimp audiences, lists, and segmentation
  • Execute routine email communications for: Events, Ticket sales, School announcements
  • Support major fundraising communications under direction
  • Design routine marketing materials, including: Flyers, Digital graphics, Event promotions, Email and website graphics
  • Support merchandise design under creative direction
  • Prepare assets for print and digital use
  • Maintain brand consistency using established guidelines
  • Supports routine website updates, including: Event postings, Page edits, Content updates
  • Support online registrations and promotions
  • Support advancement initiatives including: Giving Challenge, Annual Gala, Capital Campaigns
  • Assist with promotion, graphics, and communications
  • Support donor recognition efforts as directed
