This position is responsible for the management and oversight of the research staff including hiring, supervising, motivating, training, mentoring and evaluating performance, the management of research requests, the daily work flow and special projects. In addition, the specific functions of working to develop strategies to identify new prospects to expand the major prospect pool and working directly with the President, Provost and senior administration offices to provide critical information for their interactions with key prospects and donors. This position is an integral member of the fundraising teams in individual giving, corporate and foundation relations and the school-based directors of development. This position will develop and manage a proactive strategic program for prospect identification and work to develop cultivation strategies for potential gift prospects and long term strategic initiatives to develop future prospect pools. The Director will support a modern research program that leverages emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and advanced research platforms to surface donor opportunities, enhance prospect strategy, and improve decision-making across Advancement. The successful candidate will translate complex data into actionable insights that meaningfully support cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts.
