About The Position

America On Tech (AOT) is seeking an Advanced Web Development Instructor to teach its Spring 2026–2027 Tech Flex Leaders Program in Atlanta. The instructor will work with one cohort of 25–30 high school juniors and seniors, meeting weekly for 2.5 hours. The program combines technical training with professional development, career exploration, and mentorship. The instructor will review AOT’s curriculum, prepare supplemental activities and examples, lead engaging sessions, and work with the program manager on plans to help students master the material. They will create an inclusive and welcoming classroom, track student assignments and projects, assess work with AOT rubrics, provide written and verbal feedback, and contribute data for program reports. The role also includes check-ins and meetings with program staff, upholding AOT’s core values, and other assigned duties. The contract runs from January through May 2027. The instructor must be available for specified virtual onboarding and team meetings, weekly Monday sessions from January 11 through May 3, and an additional two hours per week for preparation, assessment, student office hours, and curriculum feedback. Several sessions are in person in Atlanta; the location is to be confirmed. Attendance at the May 11 graduation is optional. There is no program during the week of April 5, and instructors are not expected to attend the tentative student professional-development session during the week of March 8. Candidates must complete a background check because the role involves interaction with minors.
