About The Position

At Rincon Research Corporation, our primary business is innovating, developing, and fielding digital signal processing (DSP) products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security. Rincon Research Corporation (RRC), an employee-owned company, is seeking an Advanced Systems Engineer to work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with similarly motivated electrical engineers, mathematicians, computer scientists, and analysts who are collectively responsible for creating custom digital processing solutions and leveraging them to make an operational mission impact. Requirements

  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
  • Current TS/SCI Clearance
  • Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical field
  • Expert system engineering knowledge across the full system lifecycle, including requirements analysis and allocation, system architecture and design, integration, test, transition to operations, and sustainment activities.
  • Comfort with agile development methods in a dynamic environment.
  • Previous experience as a Systems Engineer, working with or for a large contractor on a Research and Development program is desired.
  • Ability to identify and articulate discrepancy reports outlining issues or bugs with mitigation response deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Leading requirements development, system architecture and design, risk identification and mitigation.
  • Producing clear, traceable technical documentation.
  • Working with modern engineering tools, test environments, and secure computing systems.
  • Working unsupervised with minimal direction and self-starting.
  • Writing test plans and procedures.
  • Writing training material.
  • Performing systematic analysis of systems to identify software, hardware, and interface issues and support resolution across the system lifecycle.
  • Developing and interpreting complex technical requirements and associating them to system engineering milestones within the development lifecycle.
  • Working with engineers and customer to develop a comprehensive Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM).
  • Leading in design reviews with customer-centric input.
  • Collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Developing Systems Engineering Management Plans (SEMP).
  • Developing system documentation to include Requirements Development, Formal Technical Reviews and Artifacts, Formal and Informal Test Processes, System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review / Critical Design Readiness Review (CDR/CDRR), and CONOP documents.
