Advanced Sewer & Drain Technician

Roto-RooterToledo, OH
Onsite

About The Position

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup of Toledo is looking for an experienced Advanced Sewer & Drain Technician who is ready for the next step in their career. This position is designed for an experienced technician who can handle complex sewer and drain problems independently while developing into a supervisory role overseeing our drain cleaning team. This is NOT an entry-level position. We are a long-standing, family-owned Roto-Rooter franchise serving Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well with customers and coworkers, and wants to build a career-not just find another job. Responsibilities include diagnosing and clearing difficult sewer and drain problems, operating sewer cameras and locating equipment, hydro jetting, evaluating sewer line conditions, identifying repair or replacement needs, documenting findings, and explaining options clearly to customers. Experience with sewer excavation, pipe repair, descaling, trenchless sewer rehabilitation, or other advanced sewer work is mandatory. As this position develops, the successful candidate will take on increased responsibility for leading and managing a crew of drain cleaning technicians, including providing field support, assisting with difficult jobs, training and mentoring technicians, maintaining quality standards, promoting safe work practices, and helping ensure jobs are completed professionally and efficiently. Our goal is to develop the right person into a key supervisory position within our sewer and drain department. We are looking for someone who can lead by example, earn the respect of the crew, solve problems in the field, and help develop the technicians around them.
