About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Advanced Program Performance Management (PPM / EVM) Analyst. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services on the Strategic Systems program. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, to include Excel, Word, MS Project, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Earned Value Management or scheduling tool knowledge is required.
  • Solid knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles is required.

Responsibilities

  • Providing contract/program cost and/or schedule management and analysis for the Space, Cyber and Intelligence development and/or production programs.
  • Developing program time-phased cost and/or schedule baselines within the contract parameters in conjunction with the program teams.
  • Analyzing program performance (historical and predictive), monitoring the contract/program Estimate at Complete and/or schedule completion date, and making recommendations to program management and program leads.
  • Gathering and organizing data for reviews with appropriate engineer(s), IPT lead(s), and CAM(s) in support of the program needs.
  • Assisting in the development of a time-phased budget and/or schedule to meet all contract and program objectives.
  • Collecting and updating program performance data, preparing and analyzing historical and predictive measures, and reviewing results and recommendations with program managers and program leads.
  • Maintaining and status the program schedules and records, compiling reports, graphs, charts, and related data in support of the program needs.
  • Identifying and analyzing the program critical paths and driving paths to schedule specific milestones.
  • Making recommendations, coordinating, and identifying resources required to meet defined program requirements and reviewing results with program management and program leads.
  • Contributing to discussions related to the root cause analyses and corrective actions and to tactical planning for completion of program tasking.
  • Assisting in preparation of program review documents and customer required documents.
  • Coordinating contract/program Estimate At Complete (EAC), risk and opportunity, and Management Reserve data with Finance analyst as input into business financial commitments.
  • Updating program time-phased budget and/or schedule and required documents associated with internal and contract changes and assisting in formulating recommendations for corrective actions such as schedule revisions, staffing adjustments, funds allocations, and work environments.
  • Supporting all necessary meetings (SEITs, Financial, EV Metrics, Risks, etc.), providing general Earned Value Management support for PMs, DPMEs, IPTs, and CAMs when requested (Staffing questions, burn rate analysis’, etc.).
  • Tracking IMS and CAM notebook updates and PPM Dashboard updates.
  • Preparing timely, accurate program review documents of program performance data, analysis and trends and can be a delegate to present such data in the absence of the program management.
  • Preparing timely, accurate customer required documents and reviewing with program management and department heads.
  • Updating program time-phased budget and/or schedule and associated documents to ensure the latest contract modifications and related requirements are incorporated.
