About The Position

UnityPoint Health is recruiting a part-time Advanced Practitioner to join its Emergency Medicine team in Des Moines, Iowa. The role provides emergency department care at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital, and Methodist West Hospital. Practitioners work with experienced professionals in a coordinated health system using the EPIC electronic medical record. There are no inpatient duties or call, and advanced scheduling is available to accommodate lifestyle needs. Shifts are 12 or 9 hours, with hours varying by location.

Requirements

• Eligible to work in the United States.
• At least 1 year of experience as an emergency medicine provider.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa.
• Current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioner's field of practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Practice at the Methodist, Lutheran, and Methodist West Emergency Departments.
• Work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities served.
