About The Position

Progressive Physician Associates (PPA) is seeking an advanced practitioner to join their Diagnostic Radiology division within the St. Luke’s Hospital Network. This role involves providing comprehensive medical and surgical care to patients across multiple sites, working collaboratively with physicians and other staff. The advanced practitioner will be responsible for medical evaluations, performing various procedures, and patient education. This position is integral to the development and integration of services within a high-functioning Diagnostic Radiology practice. While previous image-guided needle procedure skills are ideal, comprehensive on-the-job training is provided.

Requirements

  • Current Certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or The American Nurses Credentialing Center for Nurse Practitioners required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to interface and collaborate with patients, families, staff, and physicians effectively.
  • Maintain knowledge of current medical practices and skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous image-guided needle procedure skills.
  • Prior experience in healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review upcoming procedure orders, troubleshoot pre-procedure discrepancies, and act as a liaison between ordering providers and radiologists.
  • Perform a variety of in- and outpatient image-guided procedures autonomously and in collaboration with Radiologists, including musculoskeletal injections/aspirations, thyroid biopsies, and neuroradiology spine procedures.
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-procedure care.
  • Participate in clinical research activities and assist in patient entry.
  • Take an active role in ongoing QI/PI activities.
  • Function as a mentor and resource, providing guidance to coworkers and residents.
  • Contribute to radiology residents’ image-guided procedure training.
