About The Position

Progressive Physician Associates (PPA) is seeking an advanced practitioner to join their Diagnostic Radiology division throughout the St. Luke’s Hospital Network. This role involves providing comprehensive medical care, performing procedures in collaboration with physicians, and educating patients. The advanced practitioner will be instrumental in integrating this service within the existing Diagnostic Radiology practice. Previous experience with image-guided needle procedures is ideal but not required, as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.

Requirements

Current Certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or The American Nurses Credentialing Center for Nurse Practitioners required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to interface and collaborate with patients, families, staff, and physicians effectively.
Maintain knowledge of current medical practices and skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous image-guided needle procedure skills.
Prior experience in healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

Review upcoming procedure orders, troubleshoot discrepancies, and act as a liaison between ordering providers and radiologists.
Perform a variety of in and outpatient image-guided procedures autonomously and in collaboration with Radiologists, including musculoskeletal injections/aspirations, thyroid biopsies, and neuroradiology spine procedures.
Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-procedure care.
Participate in clinical research activities and assist in patient entry.
Take an active role in ongoing QI/PI activities.
Function as a mentor and resource, providing guidance to coworkers and residents.
Contribute to radiology residents’ image-guided procedure training.
