About The Position

Join our team at Caring Hearts Clinic, which offers its patients traditional family healthcare services and prides itself on being more than just a medical practice. This APRN position is part-time, 4 hours a day up to 16 hours a week, with great flexibility. CHC has been serving the community of New Port Richey and surrounding areas for more than 5 years. It is a privately, physician-owned and operated practice specializing in primary care (including managed care and direct primary care) with a growing emphasis on prevention, chronic disease intervention/management, and DOT exams. Requirements

Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license required
FMCSA-approval to conduct DOT medical examinations
Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical/hospital setting
EMR experience required
Demonstrate the ability to assess the full scope of patient needs
Ability to build rapport with patients
Conduct courteous and professional manner
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Manage chronic conditions, evaluate and treat patient's medical needs, and work with a capable, compassionate team to bring a better quality of life to our community.
Review and prescribe patient medications and order when necessary.
Work independently, with strong communication and collaboration under the direction of our Program Physician or Program Lead APRN.
Refer patients who have been determined to need care outside our scope of practice.
Patient education about health insufficiency and its complications.
Educate clients on pre- and post-treatment care for long-lasting results.
Offer DPC plans available at the clinic to clients.
Perform initiation of basic wound care.
Collaborate with referring physicians.
Record clear and accurate medical documentation in the patient’s medical chart.
Aid as needed by direction program lead APRN with office coverage as needed.
Follow all applicable medical care regulations and safety protocols.
Perform DOT exams (if not qualified, take certification within a month).
