About The Position

This role is for an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or a compassionate and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team at the Lakewood Medical Pavilion Clinic. The FNP will collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver top-notch primary care to a diverse patient population, promoting health, preventing disease, assessing physical and psychosocial health, and managing patient care through a holistic, team-based approach. The PA will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services, working closely with patients and the healthcare team to provide effective and efficient care, including assessing and treating patients, ordering and interpreting tests, making diagnoses, and offering preventive advice. Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing program (for APRN/FNP).
  • Current RN license in Missouri (for APRN/FNP).
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with active certification (for APRN/FNP).
  • 1-3 years working as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
  • Current Collaborative Practice Arrangement with the organization (for APRN/FNP).
  • Current BCLS (Basic Life Support) verification.
  • Demonstrates expertise in family practice and patient care (for APRN/FNP).
  • Ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership within your role (for APRN/FNP).
  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant educational program (for PA).
  • Certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (for PA).
  • Current licensure in the state of Missouri (for PA).
  • 1-3 years of experience working as a Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Current BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification (for PA).

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care, manage patient health, and perform assessments to support both physical and psychosocial well-being.
  • Work hand-in-hand with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Promote health, wellness, and disease prevention while supporting patients through their health journeys.
  • Apply advanced knowledge and skills in patient care.
  • Take medical histories, examine patients, make diagnoses, and treat injuries or illnesses under the supervision of a physician.
  • Order and interpret lab tests and x-rays, counsel patients, and provide treatments or therapies as per physician agreement.
  • Accurately document patient evaluations, care plans, and services provided in the medical record.
