Urgent Care-Advanced Practice Provider- Part-Time

This part-time evening opportunity is ideal for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant looking to supplement their current schedule, maintain work-life balance, or transition into urgent care while working consistent evening hours. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Active Texas license or ability to obtain one
- DEA registration or ability to obtain one
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Nice To Haves
- Family Nurse Practitioner certification preferred for NP candidates
- DOT Medical Examiner certification preferred; candidates willing to obtain certification will also be considered
- Urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine experience preferred
- Strong procedural and clinical assessment skills preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent and episodic medical conditions
- Provide an initial interpretation of X-rays with radiologist over-read
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments
- Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, splinting, wound care, and incision and drainage
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care
