Advanced Practice Provider - Hospitalist
About The Position
The Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) works in the Division of Hospital Medicine at NorthShore Hospital Evanston and Swedish in Chicago, Illinois. The role provides comprehensive care in the inpatient setting as an integral member of a multidisciplinary medical group. In a collaborative environment, the provider consults with referring providers, nurses, and outpatient clinics. The position is full-time, primarily days, with possible night coverage and no required travel. Requirements
- Current Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant Licensure (PA) in the State of Illinois.
- Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License.
- BLS/CPR certification.
- ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Prior APN/PA experience in Adult Medicine, ER, Internal Medicine, or Hospitalist Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive health assessments and differential diagnoses, and prescribe treatments under protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease.
- Provide patient education to promote wellness and prevent illness and injury for individuals, families, and communities.
- Work autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
