Advanced Practice Provider Prompt Care Weekends
About The Position
OSF HealthCare is seeking a Family, Urgent, or Emergency Medicine advanced practice provider for a busy, well-established urgent care practice with a growing patient base. The practice model includes both advanced practice providers and physicians. Typical shifts are 12 hours, with opportunities to work additional shifts for extra pay. The role offers no call, after-hours work, or follow-up responsibilities. The position provides hourly compensation, paid occurrence-based malpractice coverage, and retirement plans. OSF also offers onboarding for new clinicians, support from APP leaders, and an environment intended to support career growth.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program.
- Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in urgent care or a related field is preferred.
