About The Position

Franciscan Health is seeking a Psychiatric/Behavioral Health Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their Psychiatric consultation liaison team. This role is crucial for meeting the growing demands for inpatient Behavioral Health services at Franciscan Health Crown Point. The ideal candidate will embrace a team-oriented approach and contribute to cultivating wellness and resiliency in patients. The position involves treating psychiatric illnesses, substance use disorders, and requires a strong foundation of medical knowledge with a focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. The provider will work collaboratively with physicians to deliver high-quality care and will need exceptional interpersonal skills to foster strong community and medical staff ties.

Requirements

• Master's Degree
• Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
• Experience in treating psychiatric illnesses
• Experience in treating substance use disorders
• Strong foundation of medical knowledge
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
