About The Position
Join an established Primary Care practice. This position is split between Galesburg, IL and Knoxville, IL. The APP will perform patient assessments, assign diagnoses, and establish plans of care. They will also provide education and counseling to patients, families, and groups. The clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, offering excellent work/life balance with no call or weekends required.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program
- Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
- Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in primary care or a related field is preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessment and assign diagnosis based on recorded assessment data and current scientific and current research.
- Establish plan of care and implement interventions in accordance with care paths, protocols, standards of care and current research.
- Provide education and counseling to patients, families and groups.
