Advanced Practice Provider Primary Care Lead
About The Position
OSF HealthCare is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Primary Care Lead to join an established Primary Care system. This role involves clinical oversight, including monitoring client treatment plans, assessing high-risk cases, and handling escalated patient issues. The Lead will also be responsible for staff supervision, conducting regular individual or group supervision sessions to review clinical decisions and case conceptualizations. Additionally, the position requires professional development activities, acting as a teacher, coach, and mentor to junior or pre-licensed clinicians to build their diagnostic and therapeutic skills. Administrative compliance, including maintaining accurate records, enforcing agency policies, and ensuring adherence to ethical and legal standards, is also a key part of this role. This position is in addition to a Primary Care role.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program
- Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
- Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in primary care or a related field is preferred
