Children’s Mercy (CM) Kansas City, in partnership with Mercy Health Springfield, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to serve their pediatric population at a multispecialty practice in Springfield, Missouri. This position offers a diverse patient population, full access to Children’s Mercy colleagues in Kansas City for professional discussions, consultation, and collaboration, a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience, and teleconferencing for participation in CMH educational activities and conferences. The Division of General Surgery within the Department of Surgery at Children’s Mercy is a leading clinical, teaching, and research program in the United States, comprised of 10 full-time pediatric surgeons and 15 advanced practice providers. They deliver care for approximately 7000 clinical visits and perform more than 3000 surgical cases annually. The Division oversees three fellowship programs and provides training for rotating general surgery residents. It also provides Medical Leadership to Children’s Mercy Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Program, Burn Program, and Level 1 Children’s Surgery Program. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse I (APRN-I) provides comprehensive, evidence-based advanced practice nursing to address the physiologic, psychosocial, and developmental needs of patients and families within the framework of the collaborative practice agreement. The APRN-I participates in beginning leadership, evidenced-based practice/research, and organizational development activities with the support and direction of an experienced APRN mentor.
