This is an outpatient only position with no call or inpatient duties. The role involves providing scheduled patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician in a clinic setting. Responsibilities include completing patient histories and physicals, determining tentative diagnoses, ordering appropriate laboratory tests, and counseling patients and families on health and disease. The position requires participation in all continuing education, training, and other requirements for credentialing. The schedule is negotiable and flexible as dictated by business needs and operations. The average patient load is 20 patients per day, dedicated to one physician.

Requirements

• TX State Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Experience working as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• GI experience

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician in a clinic setting
• Complete patient histories and physicals
• Determine tentative diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory tests
• Counsel patient and family on health and disease
• Participate in all continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities
• Work flexible schedule as dictated by business needs and operations
• Perform other duties as assigned
