Advanced Practice Provider-General Surgery
About The Position
As a General Surgery APP, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role, you’ll support a busy general surgery service and be part of developing a dynamic structure that adapts to increasing patient volumes and team expansion. The ideal candidate will bring prior surgical experience, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be committed to excellent patient care. You’ll practice at Intermountain Utah Valley Hospital. You’ll work three 12-hour shifts per week on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays. You’ll provide 100% inpatient care with no clinic hours or general surgery call expectations. You’ll round on acute care surgery patients, assist with consults and discharges, and support OR procedures. New grads may be considered, but prior surgical experience is strongly preferred.
Requirements
- Unrestricted Utah NP or PA license
- Current Utah DEA certificate required prior to start date
- Current BLS and ACLS for healthcare providers
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
