CAST (The Center for Autism Services and Transition) is a primary care-based program embedded in OSU GIM practices, providing autism-informed care to nearly 1000 autistic adults. The program aims to reduce barriers and improve the quality of care for this underserved population, who experience higher rates of mental and behavioral health conditions. A core approach of CAST is the collaboration and integration of psychiatric care. Currently, the demand for psychiatric care exceeds capacity, and they are seeking a psychiatric APP to serve this population. The team includes primary care providers, a psychiatrist, a psychotherapist, a medical social worker, and an RN care coordinator. All patients seen by the psychiatric APP will be established with a PCP within the CAST program.
