About The Position

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Part-Time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Rockford Primary Care team, focusing on weekend care. The role offers premium pay, full-time benefits, no on-call obligations, and reduced in-basket work. Providers will see patients across the generational spectrum and are expected to complete in-basket work when not directly with patients. The schedule is fixed due to space constraints. The practice is part of Corewell Health Medical Group, a large not-for-profit health system in West Michigan, emphasizing team-based care with support from social work, behavioral health, care managers, pharmacists, and medical assistants.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree (for Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant).
  • Nurse Practitioners: Education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • 3 years of relevant experience (for Nurse Practitioner).
  • Current, relevant clinical experience.
  • Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - State of Michigan (for Nurse Practitioner).
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS).
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program (for Physician Assistant).
  • LIC-Physician Assistant - State of Michigan (for Physician Assistant).
  • CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (for Physician Assistant).

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekend primary care to patients across the generational spectrum.
  • Complete in-basket work for the practice when not seeing patients.
  • Attend monthly provider meetings.
