About The Position

Sentara Medical Group has a full-time opening for an experienced APP (NP or PA) to join Sentara Family Medicine at our St. Luke’s location in Carrollton, VA. Carrollton is nestled on the James River between Smithfield and Suffolk, VA. This position involves a Monday-Friday schedule, 8am-5pm, with 36 patient contact hours and 4 hours for administrative tasks. There is flexibility for a 4 to 4-1/2 day work week, with the option for some extended hours. Providers can expect to see an average of 18-20 patients per day. Requirements

  • Active NP or PA license.
  • Minimum master’s degree required.
  • Prior APP experience.
  • Must be able to work in a tobacco-free environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years of APP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care in a Family Medicine setting.
  • Manage an average of 18-20 patients per day.
  • Complete 36 patient contact hours and 4 administrative hours per week.
  • Utilize Epic EHR and DAX Copilot AI for patient transcription.
