About The Position
Sentara Medical Group is seeking a Flex/PRN Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider to join its Inpatient Behavioral Health team at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. This role involves providing comprehensive care within a 26-bed Behavioral Health Unit in a 276-bed hospital. Requirements
- Virginia-licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Current, unrestricted DEA license
- Ability to provide quality, comprehensive, continuity of medical care in a compassionate manner with minimum supervision
Responsibilities
- Perform initial assessments
- Monitor daily progress
- Manage discharges
- Provide medication management
- Provide psychotherapy when appropriate
- Partner with care coordination teams, families, and patients
- Assess and manage crisis situations
