About The Position
Join Wake Forest Emergency Providers as an Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) in Stanly, North Carolina—part of Advocate Health, one of the largest nonprofit integrated health systems in the country. Wake Forest Emergency Providers, affiliated with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and Wake Forest School of Medicine, delivers high-quality emergency care across Hospital Emergency Departments and Free-Standing Emergency Departments throughout the Greater Charlotte Market and Central and Northwest North Carolina. Our APPs practice in settings that offer a strong sense of community and teamwork, while benefiting from the clinical resources, academic collaboration, and innovation of a leading nonprofit health system. This is a full-time role with 10- and 12-hour shifts, offering approximately 130 – 151.67 hours per month. The Emergency Department is a 24-bed unit with modern resources and treatment spaces, serving an annual ED volume of 30,000. The APP will practice at Stanly Memorial Hospital, a 109-bed inpatient facility with comprehensive services including ICU, OB/GYN, Surgery, Orthopedics, GI, Cardiology, and Tele-neurology. The role offers access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered tool integrated with EPIC EMR for streamlined documentation.
Requirements
- Must have NC PA/NP license.
- NPs must be ENP boarded or eligible.
- BLS required.
- ACLS required before starting.

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency care across Hospital Emergency Departments and Free-Standing Emergency Departments.
- Practice in settings that offer a strong sense of community and teamwork.

- Engage in APP-led scheduling.
- Work approximately two full weekends per month.
- Practice at the top of your license.
- Provide care in a 24-bed Emergency Department with modern resources and treatment spaces.
- Work within a 109-bed inpatient hospital with comprehensive services.
