About The Position

The Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) is an important member of the patient-centered care team and performs advanced clinical tasks under the guidance of a registered nurse. The role supports a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families are treated with respect. The technician observes patients, documents and communicates changes to the nursing team, assists with activities of daily living, and provides advanced care such as phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removal of IV lines and catheters, and wound care. The role also includes collecting lab samples and clerical support to help care run smoothly, anticipating patient needs, and responding promptly.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of the employment start date.
• One year of experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them to the nursing team.
• Help patients with activities of daily living, including eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely.
• Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removal of IV lines and catheters, and wound care.
• Collect lab samples and assist with clerical duties.
• Anticipate patient needs and respond quickly to support a seamless, compassionate experience.
