Peds ED Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Per Diem
About The Position
The Children's Hospital at Saint Peter's University Hospital is seeking Pediatric Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Providers to join its Pediatric Emergency Department. Saint Peter's is bringing the Pediatric Emergency Medicine service line fully in-house and actively expanding the department. We are recruiting multiple providers to build a larger, high-quality, hospital-employed Pediatric Emergency Medicine group. Saint Peter's is a state-designated acute care children's hospital offering comprehensive pediatric specialty services for patients from birth through age 18. It is centrally located with easy access to New York City and Philadelphia. This opportunity offers a collaborative, multidisciplinary care environment with over 25,000 annual pediatric ED visits. Full-time and per-diem opportunities are available.
Requirements
- National board certification as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP-AC or PNP-PC) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) through ANCC or AANP required.
- Current Advance Practice Nursing licensure in the State of New Jersey.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of New Jersey.
- Master's degree in nursing required.
- Current CDS and DEA required.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required (American Heart Association).
- Must qualify for Saint Peter's University Hospital Liability insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Previous pediatric or pediatric emergency medicine experience (2+ years preferred).
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care within the Pediatric Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
- Respond to pediatric emergency situations.
- Contribute to the growth and development of a hospital-employed Pediatric Emergency Medicine group.
