Peds ED Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Per Diem
About The Position
The Children's Hospital at Saint Peter's University Hospital is seeking Pediatric Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Providers to join its Pediatric Emergency Department. Saint Peter's is bringing the Pediatric Emergency Medicine service line fully in-house and actively expanding the department. We are recruiting multiple providers to build a larger, high-quality, hospital-employed Pediatric Emergency Medicine group. The Pediatric Emergency Department sees over 25,000 annual visits from patients under 18 and offers dedicated pediatric emergency services within a collaborative, multidisciplinary care environment. Opportunities are available for both full-time and per-diem roles, with 12-hour shifts and a requirement of 120 hours per month for full-time positions.
Requirements
- National board certification as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP-AC or PNP-PC) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) through ANCC or AANP required.
- Current Advance Practice Nursing licensure in the State of New Jersey.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of New Jersey.
- Master's degree in nursing required.
- Current CDS and DEA required.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required (American Heart Association).
- Must qualify for Saint Peter's University Hospital Liability insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Previous pediatric or pediatric emergency medicine experience (2+ years preferred).
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced practice nursing care within the Pediatric Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
- Respond to the needs of a dedicated pediatric emergency service.
- Participate in building a high-quality, hospital-employed Pediatric Emergency Medicine group.
