Perform a wide variety of technical tasks in support of engine instrumentation and test facility readiness for development and production testing. Primary responsibility for proximity/clearance measurements utilizing capacitance and eddy current style sensors. Secondarily, Structural Data Recording (SDR) support would include engine test and assembly by configuring a high-speed data system to acquire structural data from sensors installed on engine hardware and in the test cell, ensuring clean high quality data via real-time monitoring, identifying issues, and troubleshoot/repair sensors and wiring. These tests occur in our onsite engine and rig test cells, as well as at customer sites around the world. Advanced measurements is comprised of Non-Interference Stress Measurement System (NSMS), Proximity, and Blade Tip Clearance. These technologies require our team to be immersed in the design, fabrication, calibration, and installation of these sensors during engine design, assembly, and test phase. Tasks include consultation with engineering and customer groups to establish requirements, mechanical and electrical installations, troubleshooting and calibration of devices in the test facility or lab, and running specialized data acquisition systems during validation testing. This position involves a high degree of interaction supporting test engineering, design groups, and operations groups requiring effective verbal and written communication skills. A strong emphasis is placed on dedication, innovation, collaboration, resourcefulness, and attention to detail. This organization supports testing and field operations across multiple company and customer sites throughout the US and the world. Development Operations provides services to support future products for global commercial airlines, industrial partners and military customers. Services include Assembly, Instrumentation and Test of engines and rigs and the associated facilities, hardware, data systems, software and technology to support this. Development Operations delivers our services in a safe, efficient and sustainable environment.
