About The Position

The Development Operations Organization is seeking a highly motivated engineering student to join the Advanced Measurements Research and Development group as a summer intern at the Middletown, Connecticut facility. This position provides challenging assignments that support the development of new measurement techniques and diagnostic capabilities used to verify the structural integrity of gas turbine engines. Responsibilities may include working on tasks related to commercial engines, military engines or both depending on business need. Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer engineering or Physics and actively enrolled through completion of the intern session.
  • Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as Unigraphics/NX, or equivalent 3D modeling software.
  • Experience with software programming languages such as MATLAB, LabVIEW or Python.
  • Experience with circuit board design, troubleshooting and soldering surface mount and through-hole components.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous engineering intern experience at an aerospace company.
  • Experience with testing, manufacturing, and technical group projects.
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
