About The Position

The Advanced Finance and Controls Analyst supports North American regional Finance and Business teams across financial accounting, analysis, reporting, month-end closing, statutory financial statements, financial controls, and audits. The role performs complex account reconciliations and cross-business-unit account and expense allocations, and supports closing activities for North American business units. It also collaborates with Finance and Business personnel to reconcile and clear intercompany transactions across multiple SAP/ERP systems and business units.

The analyst supports financial reporting and analysis for North American Finance teams, business units, and global projects. The role helps ensure compliance with NSG Financial Controls across North America, expands use of BlackLine for account reconciliations and task implementation, and performs or supports BlackLine administration across NSG instances. Other duties and special projects may be assigned. The position requires adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct, Values, and Principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of Finance ERP experience, including data analysis and intercompany account reconciliation.
• Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency with MS Office modules such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Demonstrates decision-making ability by focusing data analysis on relevant and important information.

Nice To Haves

• Expertise in SAP Finance and Controlling modules.
• Experience using or administering BlackLine.
• At least two years of professional experience in financial audits and/or financial controls.
• CPA or other advanced financial certifications.
• Experience producing statutory financial statements for businesses.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial data analysis and reporting for complex financial areas.
• Complete balance sheet and other complex account reconciliations.
• Support month-end closing for multiple entities in the NSG Global Reporting system.
• Create and interpret statutory financial statements for North American entities.
• Perform cross-business-unit account and expense allocations and other accounting duties supporting the close.
• Collaborate with Finance and Business personnel to reconcile and clear intercompany transactions across multiple SAP/ERP systems and business units.
• Support North American Finance teams and business units with financial reporting and analysis, including global projects.
• Support adherence to NSG Financial Controls for North American entities.
• Expand the use of BlackLine for account reconciliations and task implementation.
• Perform and support BlackLine administration tasks across NSG BlackLine instances.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Perform other assigned duties and special projects.
• Adhere to the NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct, Values, and Principles.
