Advanced Controls Engineer

Vertiv•Westerville, OH

About The Position

The Advanced Thermal Control Engineer provides technical expertise in thermal-controls algorithm development, with a focus on optimization and condition-based maintenance routines and logic. The role supports integrating algorithms into Vertiv Thermal Controls embedded and software platforms across research and development, implementation, and testing verification. It also works with design engineering to create and use system simulation models, integrating those models and algorithms into thermal-controls testing frameworks to support automated testing. The position works on a global team across multiple regions and time zones, within the Global Thermal Line of Business, and contributes to Vertiv’s global product portfolio. The engineer evaluates opportunities for advanced algorithm development across air-cooled, pumped-refrigerant economizer, chilled-water/chiller, liquid-cooled, heat-rejection, software, and controls-based products, then advances suitable ideas toward production and customer value.
