In our highly collaborative and global environment, you’ll analyze the effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources and participate in the tactical planning for completion of identified project segment. Essentially, you’ll perform research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems as well as perform technical activities which impact the proposal, system level design, detail design and manufacture of advanced electronics systems. The Project Support Specialist (PSS) role is a unique role with many nuances and avenues for success. There is a baseline expectation of every PSS (listed below), with a monthly drumbeat of reports and analysis, however, this role allows for growth and specialization based on current skills and future interests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, plus 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 3 years of experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency is required.
  • Microsoft Project proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the tactical planning for completion of identified project segments.

  • Perform technical activities which impact the proposal, system level design, detail design and manufacture of advanced electronics systems.
  • Earned Value Management System intermediate knowledge and proficiency.
  • CAM intermediate knowledge and proficiency.
  • Forecasting financial and schedule data.
  • Knowledge of Staffing demand/Work Load Forecast (WLF) inputs for Engineering and/or Program Management.
  • Facilitation skills (prepare packages, run reviews, present, notes, etc.).
  • Material Tracking/ODC knowledge.
  • CDRL/ELIN submittal & incentive tracking.
  • SSO submittals and PA tool knowledge.
  • CLIN kick off and baseline establishment support knowledge (CWBS, resource loading, etc.).
  • Agile Concepts (JIRA knowledge a bonus).
  • CEAC exposure and support.
  • Risk Management Concepts and implementations.
