About The Position
The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is a leading group of over 1,800 physicians in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., exclusively caring for Kaiser Permanente patients. We invite applications for a specialist in Advanced Endoscopy Gastroenterology at our Largo Medical Center. This position is listed as a 1.0 FTE, which is the equivalent of 40 hours per week. The role involves utilizing proficiency in ERCP, EUS, enteral stenting, and EMR, with additional therapeutic endoscopy skills being welcome. The position offers outpatient consultative & endoscopy services through an internal referral system in a collegial environment that allows for work-life balance. Responsibilities include conducting routine endoscopy & colonoscopy, participating in Gastroenterology hospital call, and providing care with a mix of virtual & in-person patient visits. Physicians will have access to state-of-the-art endoscopy equipment and support a call schedule where call is divided equally amongst all providers. Inpatient coverage at affiliated hospitals is also part of the role, working with an experienced support staff. Opportunities for leadership positions within the medical group are available if desired, and the group utilizes a physician-friendly EMR system.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia
- Practice patient-centered, culturally competent medical care
