About The Position

Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMTs) respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and provide patients with high-quality care, treatment, and customer service. The role involves assessing patients, determining necessary care, and delivering emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment. AEMTs document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights, and help maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment. They operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and applicable traffic laws, and work professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow AEMTs and EMTs. AEMTs also participate in community programs to support the company’s image and community relations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Kansas Advanced EMT certification.
Valid state driver’s license in good standing.
Driving record compliant with company policy.
Pass the Physical Ability Test (PAT).

Nice To Haves

NREMT certification.
Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
ACLS certification.
PALS certification.

Responsibilities

Assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
Use appropriate AEMT skills, communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools to provide care.
Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws applicable to emergency medical response vehicles.
Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, AEMTs, and EMTs.
Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
