About The Position

24/7 Occupational & Emergency Medicine Solutions is seeking Canadian Certified Advanced Care Paramedics (ACP) to work at a large mine in the Bathurst Inlet region of Nunavut. The ACP will join a multidisciplinary team including Physician Assistants, Registered Nurses, Advanced Care Paramedics, and Primary Care Paramedics. The occupational health clinic is supported remotely by a team of ER physicians. This role offers above industry standard compensation, fully covered flights to and from site, 24/7 access to on-call doctors for support, multiple project locations, and a COR Certified safety program. The ACP will practice within the medical directives and formulary approved by the 24/7 OEMS Medical Director and will have access to 24/7 on-call emergency medicine consultants. Prior experience in occupational medicine and/or providing care in a remote setting is considered an asset.

Requirements

Must hold a current Advanced Care Paramedic licence in good standing
Canadian Advanced Care Paramedic licence in good standing (Required)
BLS (Required)
ACLS (Required)

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in occupational medicine
Prior experience in the provision of care in a remote setting

Responsibilities

Provide medical support for any injuries or illnesses on-site.
Provide emergency medical care to injured or ill workers, including making transport decisions within their scope of practice.
The ACP approved scope of practice will primarily align with their provincial licensing / governing body, including delegated medical acts approved by the 24/7 OEMS Medical Director, individual competence and training in selected skills, urgency of patient condition, and on-site medical resources.
