About The Position

This is a full-time, clinic-based float provider position supporting MinuteClinic locations within 50 miles of Columbia, South Carolina. The role delivers high-quality, affordable, accessible primary and family care, including in-person visits and virtual visits conducted from the clinic when patient volume permits and virtual care does not delay or interfere with in-person services. Providers have clinical and organizational support and are expected to practice at the top of their license. The provider assesses, diagnoses, treats, and manages acute and chronic conditions; performs diagnostic testing and preventive counseling; treats injuries and illnesses; coordinates care; and provides wellness services, chronic disease management, and preventive screenings. Clinic operations also include inventory management, opening and closing the clinic, patient follow-up, insurance verification, payment collection, routine examinations, and appointment management. Charting and follow-up are completed during scheduled shifts. NP applicants need an active, unrestricted FNP license, national board certification, and an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner master's degree. One year of NP experience is preferred, though qualified new graduates may be considered. PA applicants need two years of PA experience, the specified master's-level PA education, current NCCPA certification, and an active, unrestricted state PA license or eligibility to obtain one upon hire. Both provider types need active BLS certification, must be able to pass a respirator fit test, provide required patient counseling, complete a DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment, be physically present at assigned clinics, and obtain and maintain multistate licensure as business needs require.
