About The Position

Fox Chase Cancer Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA-C or CRNP) to join our Medical Oncology team. This role is ideal for a motivated clinician interested in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered oncology care across the cancer continuum, from diagnosis through active treatment, survivorship, and supportive care. The APP will work collaboratively with medical oncologists, fellow APPs, nurses, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to manage patients with complex oncologic diagnoses. The position includes a combination of independent and shared outpatient clinic care, symptom management, treatment monitoring, survivorship care, and coordination across the continuum of oncology services. APPs in Medical Oncology practice at the top of their license and play an integral role in improving patient access, continuity, and quality of care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or Masters OR Doctorate degree: Nursing (MSN or DNP)
  • MPA-LIC - PA Medical Physician Asst Lic
  • NCCPA - Certified Physician Assistant OR CRNP - PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner
  • RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License

Nice To Haves

  • Previous oncology, hematology, internal medicine, or advanced practice experience preferred but not required
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex patient populations
  • Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Ability to function effectively in both independent and team-based clinical environments

Responsibilities

  • Conducting outpatient clinic visits independently and alongside faculty, including: New patient consultations, Treatment follow-up visits, Toxicity and symptom management visits, Survivorship and surveillance visits, Urgent/sick visits as needed
  • Managing patients receiving systemic therapies including: Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Targeted therapies, Hormonal therapies, Supportive oncology treatments
  • Reviewing and interpreting laboratory studies, imaging, molecular testing, and pathology results to guide treatment planning and supportive care decisions
  • Managing treatment-related toxicities and coordinating supportive care interventions
  • Collaborating with infusion services, pharmacy, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, palliative care, social work, nutrition, and nurse navigation teams
  • Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, symptom management, and goals of care
  • Participating in multidisciplinary tumor boards, case conferences, and department initiatives
  • Assisting with care coordination, transitions of care, survivorship planning, and clinical pathway adherence
  • Supporting quality improvement, clinical operations, patient access initiatives, and professional development activities
