About The Position

The Adult Undergraduate Recruiter is responsible for the successful recruitment and enrollment of an adult student population at all of Dominican University’s locations and modalities. The adult programs include bachelor’s degrees, certificates, and other workforce development offerings. A key indicator of success will be achieving the enrollment goals within their target population of students. The recruiter will partner with the Executive Director of Graduate and Adult Enrollment and university partner offices to create recruitment strategies and attend off-campus recruitment events, including, but not limited to, college and recruitment fairs and conferences relevant to their portfolio of programs, with the goal of generating new leads and promoting a portfolio of academic programs. The recruiter will assist and participate in on-campus prospective student events, including open houses, information sessions, webinars, and new student orientation. The Recruiter is also responsible for nurturing prospective students throughout the enrollment lifecycle from lead to admitted student.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A valid driver’s license or alternate means of reliable transportation is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sales, admissions, enrollment management or recruiting students in a college setting
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with or advising adult students of non-traditional age at the undergraduate or graduate level
  • Experience with Slate (CRM) and Jenzabar (ERP)
  • Bilingual Spanish/English

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the determination and achievement of adult enrollment goals for adult bachelor’s degrees, certificates, and other workforce development offerings.
  • Responsible for representing Dominican University, generating new leads and promoting a portfolio of programs at community and recruitment events, including some events on the weekends or in the evening.
  • Work with the Executive Director of Graduate and Adult Enrollment and the Manager of Collaborative Organizational Partnerships to develop recruitment and enrollment strategies and tactics that will maximize opportunities related to conversion and yield.
  • Implement and carry out recruitment and enrollment strategies and tactics.
  • Report on results from all recruitment activities with quantitative and qualitative information.
  • Track and compare recruitment strategies and tactics to enrollment benchmarks.
  • Assist and present at on-campus prospective student events, including but not limited to, open houses, information sessions, webinars, partner events and new student orientation. Some events and student work will require working in the evenings and on weekends.
  • Collaborate with the CEO of the Chicago Campus, academic deans, program chairs, and other academic personnel on enrollment topics, including, but not limited to, recruitment, enrollment goals, prospective student insights, and overall enrollment.
  • Work with the academic areas to stay up-to-date on program knowledge and trends in the field.
  • Responsible for proactive outreach throughout the prospective student lifecycle, including phone, email, in-person, video, live chat, and text messaging.
  • Log all calls, emails, and walk-ins in the CRM system (Slate) to ensure all interactions are logged and can be reported.
  • Maintain and utilize a successful reporting process, fully utilizing the CRM and other technology tools to report on the enrollment funnel and results of recruitment activities, as well as analyze data to make tatical and strategic decisions.
  • Review applications and render admissions decisions.
  • Handle a wide variety of tasks in a busy service-oriented atmosphere; establish priorities utilizing excellent organizational ability and interpersonal skills.
  • Communicate professionally using email, phone, virtual platforms, and in meetings.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred to support communication with students, employees, and community members.
  • Actively participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
