About The Position

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan is seeking an Adult Residential Support Professional to join the team at Fahrman Center, a 42-bed residential treatment facility providing substance use treatment and restorative justice services for adults. The role provides guidance, supervision, and compassionate support to residents while helping maintain a safe, structured environment that promotes recovery and personal growth. Duties also include administering and observing urinalysis for male FBOP clients. Due to contractual reasons, the employer is seeking a male staff member at this time. This is a full-time, first-shift position scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass required background, caregiver, and medical clearances.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries while working with residents.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in substance use treatment, behavioral health, mental health, human services, or a related field.
College coursework in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
DHS 83 training (Fire Safety, First Aid, Standard Precautions, Medication Administration), or the ability to complete required training after hire.

Responsibilities

Provide supervision, support, and positive role modeling to residents.
Build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
Observe, document, and report resident behaviors, progress, and daily activities.
Support residents in achieving individualized treatment goals.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and crisis situations.
Monitor and/or administer medications in accordance with program policies.
Assist with meal preparation, grocery shopping, housekeeping, and other daily living activities.
Transport residents to appointments, meetings, and other approved activities.
Collect urine specimens for urinalysis and administer breathalyzer tests as required.
Facilitate educational and life skills groups within program guidelines.
Maintain confidentiality while communicating professionally with residents, coworkers, and community partners.
Attend required meetings and trainings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
