About The Position

Prince William County Criminal Justice Services (CJS) is seeking a highly motivated individual with exceptional interpersonal skills for an Adult Recovery Court Case Manager. CJS coordinates all Specialty Dockets (Veteran’s Treatment Docket, Adult Recovery Court and soon to be Behavioral Health Docket). This position provides case management services to justice-involved adults with substance use disorders. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, identifying individual needs and barriers, and connecting participants with appropriate county and community resources and support services. It also includes providing ongoing service navigation, coordination, and support to promote engagement in recovery and successful completion of court/program requirements. This is a fast-paced, growing, strength-based organization that promotes public safety, strives to reduce victimization, promote recovery and sobriety, break the cycle of crime, and contribute to community restoration by incorporating the use of Evidence Based Practices to assist participants make positive changes in their lives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • 3 years of related experience
  • Ability to have focused participant interactions
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Criminology, Psychology, Social Services, Counseling or a related field
  • 3 years of experience related to case management with individuals who are high risk or have high needs, have substance use disorders and/or other behavioral health needs
  • Experience in the coordination of services for clients in the community
  • Case management experience
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and making referrals to address identified gaps in services or needs
  • Experience working 1:1 and a team in the creation of integrated case plans
  • Experience with follow up
  • Work effectively with individuals involved in the Criminal Justice System
